BIOS Information User Guide
Overview
This DEX Pack Lite shows the installed BIOS versions and age sorted by manufacturer and model. BIOS is firmware used to provide runtime services for operating systems and programs and to perform hardware initialization during the booting process. Outdated BIOSes may cause security, stability, or performance issues. Use this data to identify and update older BIOSes.

This grid shows BIOS information for any systems of the manufacturer/model selected in BIOS Information. Outdated BIOSes may cause security, stability, or performance issues. Update older BIOSes as needed.
Value Proposition
Updating the BIOS to the latest version addresses vulnerabilities that could be exploited by attackers. Older BIOS versions present a security risk, as they may allow viruses to be installed in a system’s firmware. These infections occur before the operating system loads, making them invisible to antivirus software and difficult to detect and resolve.
